SHOW SCHEDULE
NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES – the largest and most beloved STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world – returned for its 31st annual edition on May 6. NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES 31: ANGEL was produced by show founders CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL and their creative krewe at THE JACKIE FACTORY. The entire 1000 STEVIES family was overjoyed to return to our longtime Union Square venue IRVING PLAZA for the first time since 2019.
This year’s theme paid homage to the many angels in Stevie’s songs and artwork, including the iconic Fleetwood Mac title song “Angel”, in her songs Sleeping Angel, Street Angel and many more. A tribute noted the passing of her longtime bandmate and stage angel CHRISTINE MCVIE.
Our bill was studded with Stevie Stars, including audience favorites like LANE MOORE and IT WAS ROMANCE, BRIDGET BARKAN, MACHINE DAZZLE, MARYANNE PICCOLO and MIKE GREKO, VANGELINE THEATER and KITTEN ‘N LOU (New Orleans), plus Welsh born electronic singer BRIGHT LIGHT BRIGHT LIGHT, Celtic harpist MIA THEODORATUS, jazz/blues/EDM crooner JEFF STEPHAN (Chicago), Steviedance star ANGEL LINA and local hard rockers HONEY TRAP.
The NOTS 31 debut performers included six minutes that were four years in the making: VIKKI MARTIN of Ireland’s STANDBACK THE STEVIE NICKS EXPERIENCE was booked back in late 2019 for the 30th anniversary, then had to cancel due to covid. Other 2023 debuts began with NIKI LUPARELLI, a Boston based Stevie singer who has produced Nicks tributes combining music and burlesque over the past five years, most notably at a Boston Planetarium. Local drag dance artiste, choreographer and bombshell BRIE BORDEAUX crafted a production number that was an Act Three highlight.
Bushwick-based singer/song and musical theater writer FRED SAUTER will came up from the Enchanted audience to debut this year with Australian singer and showgirl ANNA COPA CABANNA. BRENNA BRADBURY, a national aerial champion and frequent performer at spectacles worldwide opened the show. A stunning debut in Act One was CAMERON NICO, a New York City bred, Los Angeles based drag-entertaining singer, songwriter, actor and producer who fronts electronic rock band RED SHE SAID.
DJ SAMMY JO kept the Stevie/Fleetwood dancefloor twirling madly between and after the three performance sets and “Enchantresses of Ceremony” Valenti, PAUL ALEXANDER, ABBY EHMANN and HEATHER LITTEER kept the white-winged talent flowing. As always, tambourines were tossed to our Stevie Styled audience and the show closed with the now-mythic Battle of 1000 Stevies.
